WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook services are down. The outage issue seems to be around DNS servers. Facebook has confirmed working on a fix.
Big social media is still in big trouble: Instagram, WhatsApp, Facebook and Facebook Messenger experienced widespread outages Monday morning, and many users around the world can't use some of the most popular sites – Facebook's services. While this isn't unknown, the length of the outage, spanning over an hour at the time of this writing, is very rare – and it's not clear when they'll be back online.
Downdetector confirms that there are issues on WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook platforms.
Update: A Facebook spokesperson has emailed India Today Tech a statement about the outage, "We're aware that some people are having trouble accessing our apps and products. We're working to get things back to normal as quickly as possible, and we apologize for any inconvenience."
