LAHORE: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday launched the Naya Pakistan Health Card of 1 million rupees to every family across Punjab province.
This is a similar initiative to the health programmed launched in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa last year and it will provide access to health cards for the citizens of Punjab.
The premier while addressing the launch ceremony of the Naya Pakistan Health Card in Lahore, said that all families in Punjab will have access to Health Cards by March 2022. The Prime Minister has launched this initiative in line with the concept of an Islamic Welfare State, or Riyasat-e-Madina.
He said that “They will get 30% subsidy on purchase of various commodities,” added that he had introduced the subsidy to lessen the impact of increase in inflation that has hit globally.
The Premier further announced scholarships worth over Rs47 billion for students under the Ehsaas program.
