

ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar walked out of a TV programme and resigned from his job as a cricket analyst for state-owned PTV channel after being asked to leave by the host of the show. The panel consisted of Viv Richards, David Gower, Rashid Latif and Sana Mir when the incident happened.
Shoaib Akhtar was invited to discuss the Pakistan cricket team's performance in the ongoing T20 World Cup by a Pakistani channel alongside world cricket greats like Sir Vivian Richards and David Gower. While discussing the rise of Shaheen Afridi and Haris Sohail in the national team, Akhtar was interrupted by the host Dr. Nauman Niaz.

Later, Shoaib Akhtar took to twitter and said that Dr Nauman Niaz took, the host of the show, was obnoxious and rude. The 46-year-old added tried his best to save everyone from embarrassment but could not succeed after lack of support from Dr Nauman.
